The Indiana Pacers hold the No. 7 seed in the Eastern Conference at the moment. However, they're tied with the No. 8 Detroit Pistons and just one game ahead of the Chicago Bulls. As a result, the Pacers are feeling a bit of pressure.
"Chicago has a pretty favorable schedule; Detroit has a pretty favorable schedule," George told the Indianapolis Star. "We don’t have the feeling right now that our spot is guaranteed. We should have a little pressure and hopefully that helps us perform better."
The Pacers know exactly where they are in the Eastern Conference standings.
"Obviously, every time you pick up your phone it’s there," coach Frank Vogel said. "We know where we stand and it just comes down to taking care of our business."
The Pacers play the New Orleans Pelicans Thursday night. Indiana then returns to action Saturday against the Brooklyn Nets.
