As part of the Indiana Pacers success Eastern Conference Finals trip last season, the NBA supplied $5,000 to help refurbish RISE Learning Center, which is a 100% special needs school for ages 5-22. The donation was matched by the Pacers Foundation.
On Wednesday, Pacers players George Hill and Chris Copeland will participate in a ribbon-cutting ceremony to unveil the Pacers Learn and Play Center at RISE Learning Center.
The renovation will consist of the following:
Fitness Center (where unveiling will take place):
- New exercise flooring
- New painting
- Pacers graphics, logos and images
- New fitness equipment
- Flat screen TV
More refurbishments took place in the Computer Lab, Apartment, and Multi-Purpose Rooms to include:
- Refreshed and updated paint in all rooms
- New books
- New furniture and appliances
- New desktop computers
- New tablets
- New flat screen TVs
- New board games
- New tablet charging station
- Wii gaming system and games
