Indiana Women’s Basketball won its first Women’s NIT Championship with a 65-57 win over Virginia Tech. Seniors Tyra Buss and Amanda Cahill led Indiana with 16 and 12 points, respectively, finishing their historic four-year careers by hanging banner in Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. A new record crowd of 13,007 saw the Hoosiers defeat the Hokies, the sixth most attended championship in WNIT history. Indiana closed out the 2017-18 season by winning 15 of its last 17 games.
