BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – As day one of the Big Ten Indoor Track & Field Championships comes to a close, Indiana Track & Field sits in second place with 16 points on the men's side and the women are in fourth place with 17 points. Ben Veatch was the lone Hoosier to pick up an individual Big Ten title on Thursday.
Without a threat in the closing 200 meters of the 3000m final, Veatch garnered his second championship in the event in three years, the previous one coming in 2019. The Carmel, Ind. Native crossed in a time of 8:04.
