A big win for Indiana’s new offensive coaching staff in the recruiting battle tonight.
After an weekend visit to Bloomington and an in-home visit from Tom Allen, Mike DeBord, and Grant Heard tonight, Mississippi wideout Tyrese Fryfogle committed to Indiana over his father’s Ole Miss. The under-the-radar, late-bloomington prospect from George County High School only held three scholarship offers from an odd combination of schools — Ole Miss, Indiana, and Idaho — but other SEC schools like Mississippi State and South Carolina were showing interest.
Despite the lack of recruiting service hype, it’s a big pickup for the Hoosiers to beat out a top SEC program that seemingly had every in to pickup Freyfogle.
