Tyra Buss Breaks Indiana Women’s Basketball Scoring Record But Hoosiers Fall To Penn State

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Senior guard Tyra Buss broke the all-time Indiana Women's Basketball scoring record as it tried to erase a 15-point deficit coming into the fourth quarter, but couldn't pull it off, falling 77-74 at Bryce Jordan Center on Wednesday night.

Buss scored a game-high 27 points, including a 10-for-12 effort from the free throw line, en route to set a new program record with her first layup in the third quarter. She surpassed IU great Denise Jackson's 1,917 career points as she now owns the record outright with her 1,931 points.
