PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The No. 2-ranked Indiana University men's soccer team defeated Big Ten rival Rutgers, 1-0, on Friday night at Yurcak Field in Piscataway, N.J.

• The Hoosiers (13-2, 6-0 Big Ten) dominated the match in the first half, out-shooting the Scarlet Knights (4-10-1, 2-5), 13-3. Despite the lopsided advantage, the match was scoreless after 45 minutes.
• With the match entering its final minutes, scored the match-winner for the Hoosiers in the 84 minute. made a great play to keep possession at the left end line. Gutman played a great pass to Swartz, who connected with his left foot from 12-yards away to the top-right corner.
