BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics honored its student-athletes at the seventh-annual Spirit of Indiana Showcase on Monday, April 24, at the Indiana University Auditorium.
The Showcase honored student-athletes with year-end awards from 2016 and 2017. The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Spirit of Indiana Director's Award, given by Vice President and Director of Athletics Fred Glass to two student-athletes that best represent The Spirit of Indiana: 24 Sports, 1 Team.
This year's honorees are Sydney Clute (Track and Field) and Rashard Fant (Football).
Clute was the 2016 Indoor and Outdoor Big Ten Champion in the Pole Vault and a 2016 Outdoor First Team All-American.
