Parker Stewart isn’t going anywhere.
Hours after news broke that his main recruiter, Kenya Hunter, will be retained by new Indiana head coach Mike Woodson, the IU guard announced that he has removed his name from the NCAA Transfer Portal.
“IU gave me a home when I needed it the most after the passing of my father,” Stewart wrote in a message posted to Twitter. “and I look forward to staying and putting on my jersey at this prestigious university. Go Hoosiers!”
Stewart’s stay in the portal lasted only one week, with Hunter’s decision to remain in Bloomington surely a major factor in the guard’s final call.
