BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana offensive lineman Simon Stepaniak was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the sixth round (No. 209 overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft on Saturday afternoon.
Stepaniak is the 10th Hoosier drafted by the Packers and the first since Jason Spriggs in 2016. He is the fourth IU offensive lineman (Spriggs, Dan Feeney - 2017, Wes Martin – 2019) to hear his name called since 2016, and he will join former Indiana O-linemen Rodger Saffold (Titans), Spriggs (Bears), Feeney (Chargers), Martin (Redskins) and Brandon Knight (Cowboys) in the NFL.
