Former Indiana Hoosier Stanford Robinson is transferring to Rhode Island University. He chose URI over VCU.
He left because he wasn’t happy with his playing time and wanted to be closer to family. Robinson, who averaged 4.7 points and 2.2 rebounds per game during his two-year IU career, is one of three Hoosiers transferring this offseason. Max Hoetzel decided on San Diego State, while Jeremiah April has yet to pick his next destination.
Robinson will have to sit out a year before suiting up for the Rams. Rhode Island will have seven other guards on the roster next year, but when Robinson is eligible, four of those could be gone.
