BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – After going 5-0 during opening weekend and capping the performance with a 6-4 defeat of No. 6 Georgia, Indiana Softball has been ranked at No. 24 in the USA Today/NFCA Coaches Poll.
The ranking marks the first time since May 7, 1996 that Indiana has been in the Top 25 of the Coaches Poll. The 2011 team received votes and earned a spot in the media rankings.
Indiana is off to its best start to a season since the 1990 campaign. In addition, Sunday's win against the Bulldogs was the highest ranked victory since 2011.
