BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – A total of seven former Indiana football players are on NFL teams that will participate in the Divisional Round of the playoffs next weekend.
Chris Covington (Cowboys), Simmie Cobbs Jr. (Saints), Dan Feeney (Chargers), Robert McCray III (Chiefs), Rodger Saffold (Rams), Nate Sudfeld (Eagles) and Shane Wynn (Saints) are all members of teams that are still alive in the playoffs.
A total of eight Hoosiers were part of NFL playoff teams this season, with Jordan Howard and the Bears being the lone team not to advance to the Divisional Round.
With at least one IU alum being on every NFC roster remaining in the playoffs, this guarantees for the fourth-straight year a Cream & Crimson alum will be part of a team playing for a Super Bowl championship.
