Through her 11 seasons at the helm, grit has essentially been a prerequisite for donning the uniform. That’s what made the events of Indiana’s 74-60 loss to No. 19 Maryland inside Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall on Thursday night so surprising.
“I questioned if we had the fight tonight,” Moren said postgame.
Coming into the season, there were legitimate questions regarding how Indiana would fare without Mackenzie Holmes on the floor. But the Hoosiers battling through adversity? With the veteran experience on this team, that was supposed to be a given.
