ROSEMONT, Ill. – Indiana's Second Varsity 8 boat has been named the Big Ten Boat of the Week after its performances at the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invite on Saturday and Sunday.
The Hoosiers swept its competition at the ORCI as it opened up racing with a win over No. 3 Michigan and Clemson with a time of 6:25.892 in the Saturday morning session. They came back in the afternoon session and shaved off a second on their time to defeat Minnesota and Louisville with a time of 6:24.311 while capping off racing on Sunday morning with another win over SEC foes Tennessee and Alabama with a time of 6:24.
