BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana sophomore running back Stevie Scott III landed on the watch list for the 83rd annual Maxwell Award, the Maxwell Football Club announced Monday afternoon. The Maxwell Award, named in honor of Robert W. "Tiny" Maxwell, has been given to America's College Player of the Year since 1937.
One of 80 standouts on the prestigious list, Scott became the 13th Hoosier (19th time) to reach 1,000 yards in a single season and finished 14th overall in program history with 1,137 yards. The Syracuse, N.Y., native set IU true freshman records in yardage, attempts (228), touchdowns (10) and 100-yard games (6).
