BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana sophomore Drew Salyers was selected as the Big Ten Golfer of the Week for the second time in three weeks, the league office announced on Wednesday afternoon.
The Howard, Ohio, native earned his second-straight top-5 individual finish to open his second season with the Cream and Crimson. Salyers tied for fifth place at the OFCC/Fighting Illini Invitational after shooting a 209 (68-72-69; -1) against some of the top teams across the country over the weekend.
He helped to lead the Hoosiers to a sixth-place finish in the event, the best placing for the program since 2008 at the Olympia Fields Country Club.
