Former Indiana guard Yogi Ferrell has agreed to a 2-year deal to return to the Dallas Mavericks, according to multiple reports on Thursday afternoon.
According to Shams Charania, the deal is worth $5.3 million over two years and includes a trigger date of July 7, 2019 for the second season.
The Mavericks initially tendered Ferrell a qualifying offer of $2.9 million for next season, but withdrew it in order to open the salary cap space necessary to sign DeAndre Jordan.
By withdrawing the qualifying offer, Ferrell became an unrestricted free agent, but reports quickly surfaced that Dallas had significant interest in bringing him back next season.
