BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana men's swimming and diving closed out another great season with a top-five finish at the 2022 NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships on Saturday (March 26), its third top-five placement at the national meet in the last four full seasons.
It was Indiana's 17th top-five finish all-time and its eighth top-10 placement in the last 10 championships.
On the final night, junior Brendan Burns became the first Hoosier since 1973 to capture a national championship in the 200-Yard Butterfly. IU has had a national champion in four straight championships, with 10 in that span between individual swimming, diving and relays.
