On Tuesday Athlon Sports released its starting quarterback rankings for 2019 and included returning starter Peyton Ramsey as IU’s entry. They ranked the now redshirt junior 43rd nationally and eighth in the Big Ten, just ahead of new Northwestern signal caller and Indiana native Hunter Johnson and just behind the trio of Michigan State’s Brian Lewerke, Purdue’s Elijah Sindelar and Maryland’s Josh Jackson. In the write-up Athlon’s Steven Lassan also made note of Ramsey’s competition for playing time this fall:
