Indiana's head coach is as quick to blow his whistle as he is to leap following great Hoosier plays.
Why?
The simple answer -- keep Michael Penix Jr. healthy.
The more complex one -- the redshirt junior quarterback is off limits to contact, even the threat of contact. There will come a time he take shots, but an August scrimmage isn't one of them.
The goal is to sharpen Penix for Big Ten battles -- starting with the Sept.
