OMAHA, Neb. – A 37-year-old record was broken, a four-run deficit erased and the seventh extra inning game in the Indiana baseball program's Big Ten Tournament history ended in wild fashion as No. 10 Maryland eventually came away with the 6-5 decision in the opening round of the Big Ten Tournament at Charles Schwab Field.
Top-seeded Maryland (44-10) got on the board with a single run in the first inning and added three runs in the fourth inning. Eighth-seeded Indiana (25-30) got a single run in the sixth inning and three more in the seventh to knot the score.
