BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana Softball started off Senior Weekend festivities with a 9-1 victory against Rutgers in five innings Friday evening at Andy Mohr Field.

• The Scarlet Knights jumped to a 1-0 first-inning lead on a two-out RBI single by Nicole Bowman, plating Aleah Marra.
• IU tied the game up in the bottom of the second on back-to-back doubles from sophomore and junior .
• The Hoosiers used a four-run third inning to take a 5-1 lead. After Lambert led off the inning with a double, she was brought home on a single up the middle by sophomore .
