Nahziah “Naz” Carter, a former Dayton signee who had a scholarship offer from Indiana, committed to Washington late Friday night.
Carter, a 6-foot-7 forward, signed with Archie Miller and Dayton last fall, but opted to reopen his recruitment after Miller took the Indiana job in late March.
The nephew of music mogul Jay-Z, Carter raised his profile significantly this spring on the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL) as he contemplated staying in the 2017 or going to prep school as a 2018 recruit.
In 16 EYBL games this spring, Carter averaged 12.7 points on 57.
