OMAHA, Neb. – Indiana baseball (36-20) dropped its Big Ten Tournament opener to the Iowa Hawkeyes on Wednesday night, 4-2.
KEY MOMENTS
• Sophomore Drew Ashley led off the bottom of the sixth with a triple to the left centerfield gap. Junior Matt Gorski followed with an RBI single up the middle to give the Hoosiers a 1-0 lead.
• Iowa broke the game open in the top of the seventh innings as it put up a three-spot. An RBI single by Tanner Wetrich, a sac fly by Chris Whelan, and an RBI single by Izaya Fullard put the visiting team on the scoreboard up by two runs.
