BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – For the second time this season Indiana men's soccer redshirt junior Daniel Munie was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday (Oct. 12).
Munie and the Indiana defense shut out two non-conference opponents, Omaha and Trine, last week in a pair of wins on Jerry Yeagley Field at Bill Armstrong Stadium. Munie had the fifth goal in Indiana's 9-0 victory against Trine, scoring a with his head off a Victor Bezerra corner.
Starting every match this season, the Maryland Heights, Missouri, native has led five clean sheets, scored three goals and contributed one assist.
