Mason Toye has turned heads so far in the MLS this season and now gets to enjoy some national recognition.
The 22-year-old former Hoosier and current Minnesota United striker was named to the United States U-23 national squad, according to a tweet from the Loons Twitter account.
So far this season, he’s totaled four goals and three assists in 10 games, three of which he started. According to the Minnesota United website, he’s also 0.89 goals per 90 minutes and scoring at a 26.7% scoring rate — both good enough for top 10 in the MLS.
