CINCINNATI – In its 10th straight road contest, the Indiana baseball program turned an early deficit into an 11-4 victory at Cincinnati on Wednesday (April 20) at UC Baseball Stadium. Three home runs and three freshmen pitchers led the way for IU in the win.
After Cincinnati (16-19) struck first with a solo home run in the first inning, Indiana (14-22) scored the next four runs, all coming via the home run. A two-run shot in the second inning gave IU the lead and two solo home runs in the fourth expanded it. The Bearcats got one run back in the eighth, before IU tacked on three runs in the ninth.
