King, Lazor Medal in 200m Breaststroke Final

TOKYO – For the first time since the Olympic Games 2000 Sydney, two US women (Lilly King and Annie Lazor) claimed medals in the women's 200m Breaststroke at the Olympic Games 2020 Tokyo on Thursday night at the Tokyo Aquatics Centre.

King took the silver, while Lazor secured bronze in the event.

Through six days in the pool, the Hoosiers have collected eight total medals (2G, 4S, 2B). As a University, IU athletes have produced 112 total medals – 57 gold, 21 silver, and 34 bronze.

Lilly King earned her second medal of the Olympics by taking silver in the women's 200m Breaststroke with a personal best time of 2:19.
