Indiana’s offense, as has become the norm under Kevin Wilson, was phenomenal in 2015. The Hoosiers led the Big Ten in total offense and passing offense, and were second in rushing offense. Of course, IU finished 6-7, which means it was another lackluster season from the beleaguered Hoosier defense. Indiana’s secondary ranked last in the conference, giving up 313 passing yards per game–23 yards per game more than the second worst unit.
Former Ohio State Buckeye Jayme Thompson should help improve that greatly. Thompson, who recorded 81 tackles and two interceptions at Iowa Western Community College last fall, is ranked third among all JUCO safeties by ESPN.
