Tom Crean never ceases recruiting, even for next year’s already oversigned roster, but he lost out on Mychal Mulder, a junior-college shooting guard from Vincennes University, as Mulder chose Kentucky instead.
Mulder is a solid prospect as he averaged 15.7 points and 6.4 rebounds last year. He made 46.3 percent of his threes, making him a legitimate threat from deep. Mulder led Vincennes to a 33-2 record and was named a JUCO All-American.
In all honesty, this announcement doesn’t come as a surprise. Indiana already has too many scholarship players and UK just lost seven to the NBA Draft.
