PALM COAST, Fla. – Indiana Men's Golf opened day one of the Big Ten Match Play Championship on Friday, falling to Penn State before tying Michigan in the second session. The Hoosiers do advance past Michigan due to a tiebreaker of more overall holes won. Freshman Drew Giacchetto shined for the Hoosiers, earning wins in both of his matchups.
IU will return to action at 7:40 a.m. ET with a meeting against No. 6-seeded Rutgers. The final session will then tee off at 1 p.m.
