It’s official now: former UConn assistant Kenya Hunter is on his way to Indiana.
IU announced Hunter’s hire as co-associate head coach on Wednesday, a title he’ll share with fellow IU basketball assistant Tom Ostrom. Hunter heads to Bloomington with established ties to both the Big Ten and Indiana head coach Archie Miller. Hunter and Miller came up through the coaching ranks at NC State, where Miller played and Hunter occupied a variety of roles under coach Herb Sendek.
Hunter was one of at least two initial candidates that Miller contacted about the job after former assistant Bruiser Flint departed last month for Kentucky.
