In a season full of firsts and new beginnings, here’s another:
Indiana is ranked inside the College Football Playoff Top 25.
The Hoosiers debuted at No. 12 on Tuesday, occupying the same slot where they’re featured in the Associated Press Top 25 and the Amway Coaches Poll. No, we’re not expecting Indiana to climb into the top four, but this is still pretty fun stuff for a program that has long lived a planet away from meaningful postseason considerations.
Hell, ESPN analyst David Pollack thought the Hoosiers should’ve been higher.
“If we look at the rankings, I’ve got one more little gripe if I’m Indiana,” Pollack said.
