IU Athletics Mourns the Passing of Football Hall of Famer Bob Skoronski

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Former Indiana offensive lineman and IU Athletics Hall of Famer Bob Skoronski died on Monday in Fitchburg, Wis. He was 84 years old.

Skoronski played for the Hoosiers from 1953-55, served as team captain in 1954 and was named Indiana's Most Valuable Player in 1955. He earned induction into the IU Athletics Hall of Fame in the inaugural class of 1982, where he was the keynote speaker at the ceremony.

A fifth-round pick of the Green Bay Packers in 1956, Skoronski played 11 seasons with the team. He spent two years in the military after his rookie season before he returned to Green Bay.
