If Purdue wasn’t going to fire Ryan Walters before yesterday’s 66-0 beatdown in the Old Oaken Bucket game, Curt Cignetti gave their athletic department 60 minutes of game tape that made the job easier.
Indiana has beaten teams badly this year and Purdue has lost some stinkers, but last night’s game was something different entirely. The now unemployed Biff Poggi was able to rally his Charlotte 49ers to put up more of a fight than Purdue did against Indiana. Even Western Illinois put 3 points on the board in Bloomington.
