BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana University's Lilly King was named the winner of the Honda Sport Award for swimming and diving, THE Collegiate Sports Awards (CWSA) executive director Chris Voelz announced on Tuesday.
A four-time nominee for the award, King becomes just the fourth Hoosier to win the prestigious honor, joining Michelle Dekkers (Cross Country, 1988-89), Kim Betz (Cross Country, 1987-88) and Heather Crowe (Tennis, 1981-82).
The Honda Sport Award has been presented annually by the CWSA for the past 43 years to the top women athletes in 12 NCAA- sanctioned sports and signifies "the best of the best in collegiate athletics".
