BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Led by freshman Romeo Langord's career-high 28 points, Indiana basketball (12-2, 3-0) defeated the Illinois Fighting Illini by a score of 73-65 on Thursday night in Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.
The Hoosiers trailed by as many as 10 points with 10:20 to go in the first half, but rallied to tie the game at 32 at the midway point.
Along with the 25 points, Langford added added six rebounds and an assist on 8-of-13 shooting. Senior added a double-double, chipping in 15 points, 10 rebounds and four steals.
