BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — The Indiana men's soccer program kicked off preparation for its 50th varsity season Wednesday (August 10) morning with its first training session of the fall.
The preseason started by naming a new captain, as head coach Todd Yeagley gave the armband to redshirt senior defender Daniel Munie Tuesday evening. Last season, Munie was an All-American, the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year and ranked No. 13 on Top Drawer Soccer's Postseason Top 100 list. He led the IU defense to 13 clean sheets, including a period of seven straight in October – the second-longest single-season streak in program history.
