Indiana men’s basketball beats Sam Houston State 97-71

Coming off a brutal 1-2 performance in the Battle 4 Atlantis, Indiana men’s basketball returned to Assembly Hall looking for a reset game before Big Ten play begins next week.

Even after getting blown out twice in a row, Indiana entered as heavy favorites in this game, given 12 points by KenPom, who had Indiana as the no. 54 team in the country entering the game.

The 28 point win got Indiana back to 43rd nationally, but there were points tonight when the game was a little close for comfort. It took Indiana almost 10 minutes to pull away in the first half, and a slow start to the second half allowed Sam Houston to crawl back into the game.
