WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Indiana Hoosiers men's golf team (289; +1) came out of the gates quickly to lead the Purdue Fall Invitational after 18 holes of golf at the Kampen Golf Course on Monday afternoon.
The Hoosiers carry the team standings by two strokes over the Cincinnati Bearcats (291; +3) behind a dominant first round from sophomore Drew Salyers. The two-time Big Ten Golfer of the Week fired a 68 (-4) in the opening round to pace the field.
Play was suspended during the second round due to lightning in the area and darkness.
