As Indiana football prepares for its final outing of the 2019 season, Tennessee awaits as the opponent. If you told both opposing fan bases that they would be playing in a bowl game after New Years Day, I think both programs would take it and run.
Now, after somewhat of a disappointing finish to the season for Indiana, losing two of its final three games, and a slow start for the Volunteers, starting just 2-5, both programs are looking to end the year on a high note.
Indiana comes into Thursday with its first bowl victory since 1991 in mind, and only fourth bowl appearance since 2000.
