IU’s passing defense was a bit shaky in 2018, but they brought in a reinforcement on Wednesday with the signing of Larry Tracy.
The Decatur Central cornerback was originally committed to play for Big Ten foe Iowa alongside his cousin Tyrone Tracy, but reopened his commitment in January and committed to the Hoosiers two days after his official visit to Bloomington in June. The three-star recruit and eleventh-ranked prospect in the state of Indiana also had offers from Purdue, Syracuse, and Minnesota.
As a senior, Tracy had just one interception and defended 14 passes, but he showed his nose for the ball by forcing three and recovering six fumbles.
