BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - For the seventh time in eight games, Indiana entered the fourth quarter of Saturday'smatchup against Michigan State with the game hanging in the balance.
Unfortunately for the Hoosiers (4-4, 0-4), the Spartans (8-0, 4-0) pulled away in the closing quarter. Michigan State defeated Indiana 52-26 behind a 24-0 advantage in the final frame.
With the loss, Indiana falls to .500 on the season heading into the bye week.
The Hoosiers drew first blood with a 10-play, 80 yard touchdown drive capped by a 5-yard rushing score by junior Jordan Howard, who started the game at running back after missing the last two games with an ankle injury.
