GREENVILLE, N.C. – The Indiana University baseball team won its fifth-straight game on Friday, defeating No. 17-ranked East Carolina, 11-5, in the Keith LeClair Classic at Clark-LeClair Stadium in Greenville, N.C.
With the victory, Indiana improves to 5-2 on the season, while the Pirates fall to 7-2.
KEY MOMENTS
• With two on and two out in the top of the first, INF Jordan Fucci lined a two-run double down the left-field line to give Indiana an early, 2-0 lead.
• After the Pirates took the lead in the bottom of the second with three unearned runs, the Hoosiers jumped back on top with a two-run homer off the bat of OF Grant Richardson that was crushed deep over the right-field fence.
