CHERRY HILL, New Jersey – The 15th ranked Indiana Rowing team opened the 2018 season by winning the team championship at the Doc Hosea Invitational on Saturday. The Hoosiers finished with 108 points as a team, six points ahead of No. 14 Syracuse.
All four of the Indiana crews advanced to the Grand Finals and three of those four taking home first place.
The First Varsity Eight opened the day by winning their morning heat by nearly three seconds over Dartmouth. Then in the Grand Final, it was IU out in front by three seconds over Dartmouth and Syracuse, who crossed the line in a photo finish for second place.
