When I’m left to my thoughts during quarantine, I often think of players who had a great deal of potential and just didn’t quite pan out. Lately, I’ve been thinking about former Hoosier forward Troy Williams.
Williams was a 6’7” forward out of Virginia and was 51st in his recruiting class. He joined the Hoosiers in 2013 along with Noah Vonleh and proved to be an impact player pretty much straight away. Williams started all 32 games as a freshman and tallied averages of 7.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 0.9 assists per game.
In his sophomore season, Williams took a huge leap.
