With Bob Knight at the helm, almost every Indiana Mr. Basketball committed to the Indiana basketball program, but after he left, things have become shaky in the in-state recruiting.
While Archie Miller has restored that idea, signing the past two Indiana Mr. Basketball’s in his first two seasons at Indiana, these have been the first two since 2011.
Even more, Miller has won the recruiting battle for nearly every in-state recruit he has gone after.
Over the past 20 years, seven Mr. Basketball’s from Indiana have decided to stay home. With such a prestigious program, that is unheard of when you think of what Indiana has prided themselves on in their history.
