Stanford Robinson is one of three Hoosiers transferring from Indiana, and it look like he’s close to choosing his new team.
Looks like it’s down to Rhode Island and VCU. Both are members of the Atlantic 10, but VCU is a much more recognizable name. The pesky mid-major is a frequent attendee of the Big Dance and are never an easy out. But, it did just lose head coach Shaka Smart to Texas, so you could say the program is somewhat in flux.
Regardless, I think Robinson would be a solid addition for either. Yes, Robinson regressed in his sophomore year, but I believe that’s because Tom Crean tried to make him into a primary ball-handler, something he clearly isn’t.
