Announced today, Indiana basketball star freshman Romeo Langford has declared for the NBA Draft, per ESPN.
In his one season at Indiana, Langford averaged 16.5 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.
Ranked as the 11th prospect in ESPN’s Top 100 prospects, he is a projected lottery pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.
The New Albany native was the No. 7 ranked high school player in the 2019 class according to 247Sports composite rankings. He ranks fifth amongst Indiana freshmen in points per game, and third most in total points.
In addition to heading off to the NBA, it was announced that Langford will also have surgery on his thumb to repair a torn ligament, something he dealt with all season.
